“She no sits”

So I heard from our friends (via a story retold by Raquel) about how their baby, a couple weeks younger than Margary, doesn’t sit that well during dinner. The quotable from that baby’s big sister, Katherine, was “He not sits.” The quote has been adapted for our own circumstances as we struggle to keep Margary at least crouched in her seat through at least parts of the meal. “Margary, sit! Good girl. Stay!” we say. Repeatedly. And then toward the end of the meal, finally someone will say in sad exasperation, “She no sits.”
